* The Soviet OKB (experimental design bureau) led by Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi failed to produce a significant aircraft during World War II, with the bureau disbanded in the late 1940s. However, in the early 1950s the organization made a comeback, producing a series of signficant jet combat aircraft -- Su-7, Su-9, Su-11, Su-15, Su-17, Su-24, Su-25, and the Su-27, with the Su-27 and its derivatives remaining Russia's premier jet fighter. This set of documents provides a survey of Sukhoi combat jet aircraft.
