* From World War II, the SAAB company of Sweden developed a series of combat aircraft, beginning with the pusher-prop "J 21" fighter, then proceeding through increasingly sophisticated jet fighters: the "J 21R" derivative of the J 21; the "SAAB 29 Tunnan"; the "SAAB 32 Lansen"; the "SAAB 35 Draken"; the "SAAB 37 Viggen"; and now the "SAAB 39 Gripen". This set of documents provides a survey of SAAB's fighters.
